PRIVACY POLICY

Befora is designed to watch your deadlines without watching you.

This policy explains how the iOS app Befora, developed by Yusuf Eren Balcı, handles information.

01

The short version

Your deadline records, amounts, notes, links and attachments are stored on your device. Befora has no account system, no advertising and no behavioral tracking.

Befora uses a subscription infrastructure provider to provide and restore Befora Pro. The provider receives purchase-related and technical information, but Befora does not send it the content of your deadline records or attachments.

02

Information stored on your device

Befora stores the records you create, including titles, categories, deadlines, amounts, currencies, reminder schedules, priorities, actions, outcomes, notes, links and creation or completion dates.

Documents and photos you add are copied into Befora’s private app storage. A limited deadline snapshot is shared with Befora’s Home Screen widget through Apple’s App Group storage. Language, currency and reminder preferences are stored in device settings.

03

Notifications

Deadline reminders and the optional morning digest are scheduled as local notifications by iOS. Notification content is generated on your device. Befora does not operate a push-notification server and does not receive a delivery or read receipt.

04

Photos, documents and links

Befora accesses only photos and documents you explicitly select. Links open using iOS. The privacy practices of a linked website are controlled by that website, not Befora.

05

Befora Pro and subscription processing

Befora uses a subscription infrastructure provider to display subscription offerings, validate Apple receipts, determine entitlement status, restore purchases, prevent purchase fraud and provide purchase analytics.

The provider may process an anonymous App User ID, purchase and subscription history, Apple receipt data, last-seen time, device type, operating system, locale, currency and network-derived technical information. Befora does not provide the provider with your name, email address, deadline records, notes, links, photos or documents.

The provider may process this information in the United States. Befora requires its provider to protect it to the same or an equivalent standard described in this policy. Apple processes payments and Apple Account information under Apple’s privacy policy. Befora never receives your payment-card details.

06

Backups and exports

CSV and PDF exports are generated on your device. A Befora backup is an unencrypted JSON file that can include record details and encoded attachment files. You choose where to save or share exports and backups. Once they leave Befora, the selected destination controls their storage and security.

07

The support website

This support website does not use advertising pixels, analytics, cookies, accounts or contact forms. Infrastructure providers may necessarily process standard network information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site.

08

Retention and deletion

On-device information remains until you delete a record or remove Befora. Backup and export files saved outside the app remain until you delete them from their destination.

Purchase records may be retained by Apple and Befora’s subscription provider for subscription management, fraud prevention, legal compliance and financial reporting. Requests concerning provider-managed anonymous purchase data can be sent through Befora support.

09

Children

Befora is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. Befora does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Befora’s features, service providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.

11

Contact

For privacy questions or requests, open a support request from the Befora Support page. Please do not include a backup file, receipt or private deadline content in a public request.
